Upcoming ORWMA Meeting October 12 (elections, Youth Hunt, Budget)

The next ORWMA Board meeting will be held October 12, 2024 at the Community Center at 9 am. Agenda items include regular business, Youth Hunt discussion, elections and the 2025 budget will be approved. There are 5 board officer positions that serve 2 year terms on a staggered basis, so that there is not a complete turnover of Board Officers. There are 2 positions up for election; President, currently held by Earl Fly and Secretary, currently held by Angie Peters. The terms are for 2 years and will begin on January 1, 2025. Below are listed from the bylaws the duties of the President and Secretary.
Section 3 Board of Directors Responsibilities:
A) President
1. Provides the administrative leadership, sets the Board Meeting Agenda, and presides over Board meetings.
2. Maintains the by-laws and interprets by-law questions for the association.
B) Secretary
1. Maintains all Association Records (including membership records.)
2. Records and distributes minutes of the Association Meetings at least 3 days prior to the next meeting for review and approval at the next meeting.
3. Handles Association Correspondence as required.
4. Performs other duties as assigned by the President or Board of Directors.
In addition to the election of Board Officers, Special Interest Group (SIGS) are appointed. Currently, we do not have an Events Chairperson. Below are listed from the bylaws the duties of the Events Chairperson.
Section 4 Special Interest Group Chairperson Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
A) Events Chairperson
1. Oversees the planning of ORWMA sponsored functions.
2. Oversees the acquisition of supplies (paper goods, drinks, food items, etc.) for Events and provide lists of items needed for purchase.
3. Ensures that cooks, servers, cooking equipment, etc. are lined up
4. Oversees the set up and take down of tables, chairs, etc. for Events.
