ORWMA Meeting Minutes

September 14, 2024

President’s Report – Earl Fly; no report.

First Vice President’s Report –Steve Jaap; no report

Second Vice President’s Report – Jerry Rogers; began discussion on 2024 Youth Hunt.

Treasurer’s Report - Larry Carroll; presented the treasurer’s report.

Secretary – Angie Peters; David Mitchem is added to deer checkers and the list has been distributed.

Events – Youth Hunt will be November 22-24. A planning meeting will be at the next ORWMA meeting on October 12 at 9:00 am. No upcoming seminars.

Predator – 164 Hogs eradicated this year.

Whitetail – Jerry Rogers; From the deer census and spotlighting, there is about 2 does to every buck and ½ fawn to every doe. A total of 1,454 deer were reported. September 28 is opening for doe and archery season.

Birding – Jean Stipelcovich; hummingbirds are here!

Turkey –David Konarik; there will be “lots of 2 year old gobblers”.

Communications – Angie Peters; website is back up.

Next ORWMA Board Meeting will be held October 12, 2024 at 9:00 am. There will be elections and budget approval. The President and Secretary positions will be up for election
