February 2, 2025 Meeting Minutes

President’s Report – Vernon Wallace, Banking papers regarding change of leadership were presented and signed by the officers. Earl will also have to sign. Stacy and Vernon are studying the membership list to determine the reason for the decline in membership.

First Vice President’s Report – Steve Jaap had no report.

Second Vice President’s Report – Jerry Rogers had no report. Two more deer were checked by Steve Jaap.

Treasurer’s Report – Larry Carroll; Larry and Stacy are both keeping track of dues paid.

Secretary – Angie Peters was absent. No report.

Events – Bert and Jean discussed a successful Winter Bird Count. A bluebird group will present a seminar about bluebirds at the Gumbo Cookoff. Start time will be about 5:30 PM.

Predator – Doug Mason announced that 21 hogs have been caught so far this year.

Whitetail Deer - Jerry Rogers had no update.

Birding – Jean Stipelcovich reported on the Winter census.

Turkey – David Konarick had no report.

Communication – Angie Peters was not present. No report.

Future Events - Details of the Gumbo Cookoff were discussed. The possibility of an ORWMA sponsored scholarship for active members and their families was discussed. Trash cleanup will be April 12, 2025, possibly in the afternoon.
