ORWMA has held a Wounded Warrior Hunt for the past several years during Whitetail Deer season.  We work closely with Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas to bring a group of wounded soldiers who are in treatment to Oakridge Ranch for a hunting weekend.  The soldiers do have an opportunity to hunt during the weekend.  But more importantly, Oakridge property owners have the chance to tell & show them how much we appreciate their sacrifice and dedication to serving our country.  We feed them, listen to them, and laugh & cry with them for a weekend.  We are truly blessed to have this opportunity to share with some of our men & women in uniform and their families.  We strive to send the warriors (and their families) back to San Antonio encouraged and renewed at the end of the weekend.  ORWMA hopes you will become involved in our Wounded Warrior Hunt this year!   Contact Vernon Wallace to sign up for hosting a warrior to sleep or to hunt at your deer stand:  vwallace@satyainc.com  Please contact us at oakridgeranchwma@gmail.com to volunteer to help provide side dishes/desserts for the meals, as well as helping serve the meals.
